This week, I had an insightful conversation with visual effect artist Vicki Lau. A multi-hyphenate artist, content creator and entrepreneur from Singapore who has worked on huge projects such as The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy and Aquaman.

In the episode, Vicki shares what it is like studying in the United States and the realities of working in Hollywood. She recalls how shyness fanned her passion for visual effects and how she pursued her dreams against the challenges.

We discuss the Singapore art scenes and the cultural differences between Hollywood and Singapore. We talk about her prolific work and how she got her big break. We share growing up in Singapore and the process of immigration.
